Re: Dropped 15 meg since I joined

It was the 66meg, but he confirmed that the day before migration when I was with BT it was near on 80megs; so am unsure what has happened!

Re: Dropped 15 meg since I joined

So, if you was getting full 80mb nothing should have changed (PlusNET can't reduce speed). Sounds like maybe crosstalk?  Shocked

@Matty2k13 - you may want to edit the Wholesale checker graphic - it shows your phone number.

If they reset you let me know, yesterday they (PN) told me they couldn't do it.

Re: Dropped 15 meg since I joined

Plusnet cannot reset your line.
Openreach will only do a reset if a fault is found and cleared between your premises and the cabinet.
Resetting a line is really a last resort - there are genuine reasons for not doing so, unless a fault is found.

Andy,
The DLM reset is from the customers premises I do believe? Can you confirm.
Thanks

Re: Dropped 15 meg since I joined

The engineer requests it from his laptop or iPhone...but it goes through a process - it has to be a certain fault code/the line has to come back clean.
People think that the engineers can reset DLM on any line, which is far from the case.
It can also be reset by Openreach DCoE.

Re: Dropped 15 meg since I joined

I had it with BT they come out and fixed my fault and reset DLM (had to be done at the cabinet)
Fault returned and BT engineer said he never reset. And done it for me and showed me? But the amount of times I've read it requires and engineer to visit the cabinet to reset is beyond me. Roll_eyes

The fibre cabinets are rarely opened - in fact, I don't think most engineers have access to them.

Re: Dropped 15 meg since I joined

@matty2k13
Sorry that nobody has come back to you yet.
The most recent speedtest recorded is still showing that the line isn't performing as it should. As others have mentioned, we can't reset the line remotely and if the engineer fixed any issue then they should have requested the reset. It may be that we need to get another engineer out, so I'll let our faults guys get in touch about that.
