From what Tony says, it seems Greenby have got this wrong and its being fixed. It seems they were trying to charge £7/yr for the domain hosting but that should be free with the native plus.com hosting & email (which only becomes chargeable after two years).

I don't believe the domain registration charge has been quoted anywhere up till now.

Mine (klontzas.co.uk) still shows:

But whois shows that the domain expires on 2029-07-09.

Greenby have now updated my domain name renewal to the 22/12/2028

The only outstanding item now is the renewal for the web hosting.
It is currently set to 23/09/2027
Should this be 2028

Bear in mind I'm just a customer like you but from previous posts I do believe you had CGI space. I'll let Tony confirm that because he does have account access.

I have just tried connecting to cgi.plus.net but it requires a password and the password I use for ftp doesn't work should they not be the same password? If not how do I change the password to the cgi to get access?

It's very unlikely you used the CCGI, but you have access to it hence the email.

The password for the cgi portal and cgi FTP access can be different.

If you've now got the cgi icon back in the Plusnet portal then you can login to the cgi portal. The username is ccgi.<account>.plus.com. There's a password reset function on the login screen if you've forgotten it. 

NB it will send the pw reset email to whatever was the contact address in the cgi portal , make sure you have a catch-all just in case...

Once in the cgi portal you can set the ftp password

I cant get access to the PlusNet portal anymore so cant get to login and change my CGI password is there another way I can do this. I just want to get on to backup all my files before I loose them. I do recall using pearl scripts at one point.

Plusnet portal is working as normal, however, you can't change your CGI password in there anyway. You'd have to go to your Hostopia admin for that. Before you do this, what makes you think you have CGI space? 

Can I ask what is on your site, is it html files or php?  Do you remember the address of it (before the username.plus.com/domain?

I cant get on the PlusNet portal because there are no links to get onto it anymore when I login to the PlusNet website.

How do I go to Hostopia Admin?

I know in the past I have used some php scripts on parts of my website which I put in the cgi space.

I've not done anything with it for a very long time but I just want to be able to log on and backup all my files before they are deleted due to this migration to Greenby.

I have always just used my domain name "ianlowe.co.uk" to access my webpage.

Hostopia is https://hosting.plus.net/

By before you domain, you'd normally use www or ccgi (unless configured specifically)

Hostopia https://hosting.plus.net/  Can't logon it will not accept my password, I tried to reset the password but I don't get the email to do that.

To go to my webpage I would use WWW. 

To upload web files I would use ftp.plus.net    This I can currently do.

To upload cgi files I assume I would use ccgi.plus.net    But this will not let me log in with my password.

A couple of days ago In the webpage setting section on the PlusNet website I had the standard webspace icon and the cgi icon, Then when I went back to it a day later the cgi icon had disappeared.

Now I cant even get to this page.
