I have just been transferred to Greanby and now they say I no longer have access to my web space. Only my email is being run by them. So how do I get access to my web page.

Is your webspace the normal www.<accounname>.plus.com ? 

If so , that should have transferred automatically with your email.

My account transferred yesterday and although the webspace wasnt accessible immediately it only took around an hour os so (after the transfer notification) for it to re-appear

Once our web space was shown in the www.greenby.com portal I could access it via FTP.

Mine was shown in the Greenby portal but the url returned initially 'not found' and then a 404 but after about an hour the website was live again

I use my own domain name which I have always had registered with plusnet

Because web hosting was not included in the migration to Greenby, there is no web space or hosting server on Greenby where your website files are stored, so you cannot edit or upload web pages through Greenby at this time.

If you wish to host and edit your website:

- You will need to take out a web hosting package with a third-party website hosting provider.

- Once you have hosting set up elsewhere, you can edit your domain's DNS records inside your Greenby dashboard to point your domain (ianlowe.co.uk) to that provider.

Plusnet! where is my website currently being stored, is it still on plusnet servers ? how long will this be retained before I loose it. What is the process to move it to another provider?

That's complete rubbish, webspace is included in the migration to Greenby!

Does your native account url www,<accountname>.plus.com access your webspace ?

AFAICS your domain does have an A record which points to the Greenby servers  (91.204.210.10) 

I've escalated this to try and get someone experienced to investigate

edit: have you logged in to the Greenby portal ? and does it show on the home screen for your products ?

I have received an email from Greenby about Hostopia website migration.

"As outlined in your Greenby welcome email, following your migration, the Hostopia service is being discontinued. Your website will be removed from Hostopia's system on 05/11/2026 days."

What is Hostopia? Does this relate to normal hosting of what used to be a www.<username>.plus.com site? We actually have a domain which points to www.<username>.plus.com/htdocs. nslookup on the domain gives homepages.force9.greenbysites.com and 212.159.8.90

Just checking that it will continue.

Its the hosting provider for ccgi space ( ccgi.<account>.plus.com

No. I have the normal webspace www.<account>.plus.com and ccgi space. My normal webspace has migrated successfully but I'm still waiting to hear about the ccgi space...

In my welcome email there was not mention of the removal of stuff from Hostopia.

In the latest Plusnet FAQ from the end of August there’s this bit.

“If your webspace is with Hostopia or CGI then you will need to take Greenby’s advance hosting. There will be a charge associated with this, but Greenby will be in touch with more information. “. https://www.plus.net/help/email-account-changes/

I’ve had and I can’t find any information on it. Greenby’s bot tells me I will have to wait to early 2026 for them to launch it.

It feels that somewhere the dots are not all connecting.

It makes me wonder if they have now migrated all those who use email and haven't used CGI or Hostpia features and they are now migrating those that do use CGI and Hostpia but Greenby still hasn't got their advanced hosting sorted out.  Ideally I'd like them to sort it out quickly as I made a choice to stay with Plusnet and move from FTTC to FTTP without a phone line rather than being moved to EE or another ISP partly because I expected to still be able to keep the CGI and MySQL setup that I currently have.  FTTC has been plenty enough speed for me and it was only costing me about a £1/month for the phone line compared to going to FTTP which didn't have it.

The older FAQ which is available on the Wayback machine makes no reference to having to take advanced hosting or having to pay for it.  I still have time to change

I'm not sure I completely understand what's happening with cgi space.

AFAICS my site is still hosted at Hostopia and the Greenby DNS still points there.

What will happen long term I'm not sure and I've not seen any information from Greenby.
