rDNS Change

Hi, i was told this is the best place to ask
is possible for my rDNS hostname to be changed from my username to my static ip

Welcome to the community.

The best way to get the rDNS changed would be to give our customer service guides a call.

They'll bring up your account and send the request off to have the rDNS updated to your static IP.

Finally got around to calling the customer support but the agent was adamant that since they don't do static ips anymore that they could not make the adjustments despite the fact it is a privacy concern and other users have had success, it seems i am running in circles

The phone 'agents' work for all the BT group - from a script, it is nothing to do with 'static IPS' and they are generally ignorant.

Hopefully, a member of the Help Team on here will pick this up correctly and action it for you, but it may not be until Monday.

@RNP I am sorry that the guide you spoke to did not raise the request, as they should have been able to. Since you did not get the support when calling in I have been able to submit the request for you and our support team have advised the change should take effect within 24 hours.
