Webspace allowance monitoring

I received an abuse message from PlusNet today saying that my webspace is over its allowance. Fair enough, I hadn't been paying attention to how much was there and it was easily possible to remove some stuff that didn't need to be there.
Trouble is - I am now trying to check whether I have removed enough, but the portal still shows the same figures as before I tidied up. How often does this figure update? Is there a way to get an instant figure? Obviously we don't have shell access so can't just login and run a du command.
BTW - this is webspace, not PAYH or CCGI.

Daily, overnight I think.

Hiya,
It is a bit confusing when it's something to do with the used space. You are about 52 MB bellow the limit (safe).
The best way to find this out, is to use WinSCP as your FTP client. you can simply right click on the folder you wanna check and then click calculate to find out the size of its content including any subfolders!

That implies you have to use Windows :-(  I don't.

Ops! there must be a WinSCP - Equivalent for each OS, needs a bit of Googling depending on your OS Smiley
