Hi,
I want to transfer out my .co.uk domain to IONOS. They have requested the below.
"We are relying on your support to complete the move. Please contact your current Domain Registrar and ask them to change the IPS TAG from "Plusnet Plc" to"IONOS". We cannot proceed with the move until this step has been completed."
My account username is: <redacted>
If someone raise a ticket I would appreciate it.
Many thanks.

Hi @Howelljones,
Welcome back to the Community!
We can absolutely get this sorted for you. Would you be able to pop me through your account number in a Private Message, so I can get this passed onto the team?
Rach

I've took out a domain hosting contract with IONOS which also provides an email service.
My question is...
If I'm transferring my domain from Plusnet to a new host am I right in assuming they emails will then be moved also.
The reason for my to move was due to the issues with emails not being able to be sent now that it's Greenby looking after the email side of things.
(My elderly parents had difficulty replying to important medical emails!)
Thanks in advance for an info received.

I didnt think that any accounts with hosted domains had been migrated to Greenby yet ?

No, you will have to move any existing emails yourself.
If you use POP3 then existing emails will be stored locally on the device running the email client.
If you use IMAP, then they are held on the server and so existing emails will need copying to the new server. Have a look at https://imapsync.lamiral.info/

Thanks for you reply MisterW.
I'm not sure my emails have moved over to Greenby yet officially but I can access them by logging into Greenby with my Plusnet details. Strange hey.
- I'm not worried about losing historical emails. I was more referring to the servers that my emails will be sent/received to so that I can then access them via POP3, IMAP, or Web Portal.
To add..
I may have had the issue as I was using Gmail to pull in my emails through using POP3. Gmail has now discontinued the use of the POP3 function. (Thanks Google!)
In the long term I just want my domain/email to be hosted by the same company.
I hope this all makes sense.

If you mean the Greenby webmail , then yes you will be able to access them. All access (even the webmail client) goes via a proxy which knows whether an account has been migrated or not, and routes the connection to the correct server.
