Re: Static ip switched to dynamic

The only way I can know I have a static ip address is you claim I do. Your own systems can't show me the apparently correct information which makes any future problem solving an exercise in guesswork on what's true and what is not.

Throughout your support website I keep finding suggestions to contact you via chat, though when you eventually give up trying to find the link it turns out that chat is now only available for sales.

Since I last renewed my speeds have been slower than before and to cap it all off your competitors can now all offer me fibre to the property with up to 990Mb/s.

After all this why would I stick around for that level of support and inconsistent speeds?

Re: Static ip switched to dynamic

Thanks for the explanation @Saurbaum

I can remove your static IP and re-add it through the more modern way which should then make it appear on the member centre for you your side.

We’ve turned live chat off for support a while ago but if you don’t want to phone, we’re happy to help here (as you’ve worked out), Facebook or Twitter.

Although I appreciate that the above^ points are likely moot for staying with us if what you’re wanting is FTTP because we don’t currently offer this service.

Thanks for sticking with us for so long and all the best with your new provider! Hopefully we’ll see you back at some point in the future when we start doing FTTP. Smiley

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
