Static IP addresses no longer available?

I called PN support to request a static IP address and was told these are no longer available?

Just wanted to check this is true?

@jafwatt Yes it is true. They were stopped around December 2024.

So because the ipv6 trial can only be used with a static ipv4 address, what happens when this is rolled out to everyone? Will PN offer static IP addresses again?

@poweredbyveg The current IPV6 trial is for users on the "High touch network" who already have static IP addresses.

There will presumably sometime in the future be another trial for users with Dynamic IP addresses on the "Low touch Network" There was a small scale attempt at this over a year ago with just one user connected and it failed.🤔

The Low Touch network will always use dynamic addresses.

No, static IP addresses are no longer part of the business offering.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
