OK thanks. I would like to change the rDNS on my static IP, I don't know how to do or how to open a ticket. Can you help with that?

Hi,
I have never worried about this but g-mail are now refusing to accept e-mails with my domain name of 24 years. The SPF entry is correct for Plusnet's outgoing mail relay, so it would appear that their grip is that my rDNS does not match my forward DNS.
Please can it be changed from username.plus.com ?
Colin

@C_J If you're sending via the Plusnet relay, then your rDNS is irrelevant.

Thank you for that, it was most helpful. I had tired checkers that said all was perfect, mail-tester.com found an issue even if it did say I was basically fine.
My SPF was on mail.domain.co.uk as per what the rejection said, but needed to be on domain.co.uk as per the sender.
I have now left identical SPF records on both.
For others, it's set to "v=spf1 include:_spf-internal.plus.net include:_spf-internal2.plus.net ~all" which should get all of Plusnet's relays and be server-address change proof.
It appears that the DNS=rDNS check is done on the mail relay, and that passes. Your server's DNS would have to match rDNS if you are sending from your server and not going via Plusnet's relay.
Many thanks Dabbler - I can leave the rDNS as it is for now, unless they start checking that one too.
