I'm desperately trying to find a way to be alerted when my internet connection goes down, or freezes. I understand however that the PlusNet Hub One does not have the possibility to respond to public IP pings.
Does anyone have a viable solution without spending more £?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

if you have something like a raspberry pi you could put that in the dmz and configure it to respond to pings.

I wouldn't have a clue where to start. Do you know if there is an idiots guide available on how to do it?
