McAfee download problem

Hi, I am trying to download the McAfee antivirus. Nothing is happening and after a browse on the forum it appears that it might be because I have a Google Chromebook that it is not working. Is it possible to download this software on  a chromebook?

Unfortunately the Plusnet Protect product is not compatible with Google Chromebook. Plusnet Protect is only available for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and Windows Vista with SP1.

Google Chromebook do not generally need an antivirus software as they are designed with their own internal security system from the very start. Chrome OS doesn’t get viruses, malware or ransomware because it doesn’t let them download or run.
