Plusnet rewards link is insecure http

I got an email from Plusnet rewards asking me to click a link but it takes me to an insecure site which says "url8655.plusnetrewards.com doesn't support a secure connection with HTTPS
Attackers can see and change information that you send or receive from the site.
It's safest to visit this site later if you're using a public network. There is less risk from a trusted network, like your home or work Wi-Fi.
You might also contact the site owner and suggest that they upgrade to HTTPS"
Why are Plusnet rewards sending me links to unsecure http sites? I can continue onto the site but I'm afraid to login to it. Why aren't Plusnet using HTTPS sites?
Thanks for any help.

Re: Plusnet rewards link is insecure http

So long as you do not need to enter any personal information as per the big IF in the scare message - does it really matter?

Which browser and AV are you using?  Some of these technologies worry about things which are not really even an ant hill.

Re: Plusnet rewards link is insecure http

I am using chrome.
I think it matters. If I'm entering login details which then takes me to my personal details, I want to know that it's secure. Scammers are everywhere. Why doesn't Plusnet use Https?

Re: Plusnet rewards link is insecure http

Does that link request login details?

The last time I saw the claim your reward email / service there was no log on required.

Re: Plusnet rewards link is insecure http

Yes, when I click the link it says this:

"This is the Plusnet Rewards site, here you can claim your rewards earned when you signed up.

Before you can claim your reward, you need to confirm your details on the next page."

I then have to enter personal details.
