Neighbour

I am getting fed up with a friend who keeps asking if we can add our neighbour to our broadband connection and pay us. Its the landlord and i literally don't want anyone else on our network. I also work for a local council and from home too. It made me angry as its not the first time they have said it. My partner says im being over dramatic. I say its pushing boundaries! What do others think? Am i being over dramatic? This is my safe space as a guy with Autism and its really triggered me!

Re: Neighbour

@DAVID3370 I totally agree with your point. If you and your neighbour live in totally separate accommodation, they should have their own internet connection.

Re: Neighbour

Thats exactly what i said too. Its someone thinking they are being thoughtful because its the landlord in his 70s....ive said "i don"t really care who it is, its pushing the boundary"...and then before we know it hes handing out the code to the entire block!!!

Re: Neighbour

I am on the spectrum too, my outlook on life is considerably to the right of Genghis Kahn.

Faced with the same situation I'd have adopted a deeply French attitude and just said NON NON !

A quick change of the Wi-Fi password will instantly disconnect all those that have played on your better nature.

You pay for the internet & Wi-Fi service ... don't be taken for a ride.

Re: Neighbour

Are you in a converted house, or a purpose-built block? Irrespective, individual 'houses' should have individual connections.

Re: Neighbour

So, purpose built flats - individual addresses = individual connections.

Yes. Have you asked him why he hasn't made his own arrangements?

All sounds very suspicious to me.

Re: Neighbour

Cant be bothered i guess...well too bad...its so easy now to get a connection put in as well. Can u imagine having your landlord who is in the flat above you on your network???? If it was the other way around id still get my own in!!

Re: Neighbour

Presumably your friend doesn't occupy one of the other flats in the building?
