Re: Issue with Processing Norton for Plusnet Order

I have the same messages as Keith and others, so haven't attached any screenshots.  I certainly don't get as far as even having the option to download anything, let alone install.  This looks like a much bigger issue.

I wonder if those who do decide to eventually install this Norton vaporware will have the licence for 2 years from the date of registering to download, or when this issue is actually resolved?!  It's doubly bad if you have lost the McAfee protection and now have nothing as a result of this farce with Norton.

Luckily I have all my PCs protected with something else, and was going to try it out on a Macbook, so I'm not too bothered and have now installed something I could not only sign-up for, but also download. Imagine that!

Re: Issue with Processing Norton for Plusnet Order

I'm having problems installing on my lenovo tablet, getting message saying it can't be used with my operating system (which is android 10)

It's been a really bad experience!

Good afternoon @chivvy

Thanks a lot for getting in touch and I'm really sorry for the issues you're having in downloading Norton onto your tablet. Can I ask, do you have the Google Play App installed on your divide? It'll be required with your operating system you see.

Re: Issue with Processing Norton for Plusnet Order

Ah fair enough @chivvy, thanks a lot for getting back to me. Smiley

It's likely that this is to do with our ongoing, and wider issues that we're experiencing with Norton at the moment. With it being no new, there have been a few teething issues that our teams are working hard to resolve. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience caused here.

Can you private message me or post up a screenshot of the error here?

I'd like to pass it onto the relevant teams to help with the investigation.

(which is android 10)

@Gandalf Are we sure that's an Android system and not a Chromebook ?

Surely it would be installed via Google Play store on Android

Re: Issue with Processing Norton for Plusnet Order

It's android 10. According to settings.  I followed the option to install on another device and then opened the link that was emailed to me on the android 10 tablet. Then I got the above error.

Re: Issue with Processing Norton for Plusnet Order

@chivvy thanks for confirming.

In that case , could this https://community.norton.com/en/forums/cannot-install-norton-family-android-10-go-due-%E2%80%9Cdispl... be the problem ?

No idea, but system settings just says android 10, no mention of go.
