Invalid Site Certificate

Hello

I have 2 websites hosted by plusnet (force9)

www.sarahdeere-jones.co.uk

www.cornwallharpcentre.co.uk   When I try to access I get this message from Bitdefender :-

https://sarahdeere-jones.co.uk/

Your connection to this web page is not safe due to an unmatching security certificate.
This means that the certificate was issued for a different web address than the one it is being used for, and you run the risk of exposing your data by accessing this page.

Can you please update the security certificates for these 2 websites.

Thank you

Phil Williams

Re: www.plus.net Invalid Certificate

@Philwill I dont believe Plusnet have ever provided certificates for individual domains. The certificate is issed for homepages.plus.net and your website is hosted under your account there.

See https://community.plus.net/t5/Everything-else/https-and-ssl-certificates-for-my-PlusNet-hosted-websi... for more information

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: www.plus.net Invalid Certificate

Websites load fine, though there’s a problem with the harp centre link.  Are you using a browser which I helpfully forces https rather than allowing http connections?

Where a site collects no information there’s no necessity for https but some security software will bellyache just to scare users into spending money with them.

It will be interesting to learn if Greenby will offer SSL for hosted sites.
