How long to transfer a domain out?

I finally managed to get through to Plusnet on the phone Friday of last week and requested they change the IPSTAG for my domain, so it could be transferred out.

(I've got the A and CNAME records pointing out to my hosting company already, but having so much trouble with emails that I just can't stick it any longer, but can't change the nameservers, haven't been moved to greenby, so want to go byebye.)

The lady I spoke to said she has raised a ticket for the "back end" team to sort this out, but it's now Wednesday and no sign of it being done. The registrar I'm trying to transfer to is sitting there waiting for it to happen.

Why is there no way of me checking the status of a ticket ?
Why can't I reply to the email that was sent to me (it's a "noreply" address) ?
Do I really have to spend another hour of my time waiting to get put through to someone who can't even do the work
How do Plusnet win "customer service" awards when it's so damn hard to get through to them?

Rant over. Does anyone have any idea how long this will take ? TIA.

The email should have had a link to the ticket.  Use the link below to look at your ticket history.

One of the key folks I know who runs this process space is presently on leave ... though one would expect that there are others who can catch this.

And the answer is 2.5 working days. It's gone through

Thanks for the answer, but there was no link and no reply address. But it went through about 45 minutes ago

Navigation to both of these appears to have vanished from the current Plusnet Members Centre.

If you don't have the 'review this question' button in the email you have received, could you post a screenshot of the email removing any personal information so we can investigate this further?

Hi Leanne,

Yes, I had an email with a link to the question.
However, if I followed the link, all it said was that a ticket had been raised, there is no link to the ticket itself so no way of knowing what the status was.

Not to worry though, it's sorted now.👍
