I am trying to change my forum email address because I have decided to cancel my Plusnet email rather than have it moved to Greenby.
I made the change, but I have changed back because the confirnation email for my new address has not arrived. The Plusnet confirmation email has arrived OK.
Any ideas?

Who is the target email provider?
There is a possibility that delivery of the email had been declined.
Is there any review of non-delivery events arising from emails sent by the forum service? The failure to receive account confirmation emails is disconcerting. Has the service implemented the same DKIM / SPF / DMARC measures Plusnet adopted to address the bulk sender issues encountered with Microsoft and Gmail?
iCloud seems even more of a problem (I’ve got issues with a service I run elsewhere).

That could explain a LOT. Hopefully the question to the forum owner might identify if the forum provider has implemented Microsoft’s demands for bulk emailer services.

@Townman ,
I tried with a Gmail address and the confirmation email arrived.
It's an email address that I don't use anymore, but it'll do for this purpose.

That points towards the Microsoft bulk sender restrictions.
@Peter_JW can someone please raise this concern with the forum vendor.

@Townman AFAICS notification emails from community do seem to meet the bulk sender reqs i.e SPF DKIM and an Unsubscribe link

Thanks for flagging, @Townman.
I've made the Community management team aware so we can look to get this raised.

Experience.
I used a outlook.com address to create a forum account.
The mail with the confirmation link never arrived. I tried resending, until the community web interface declared I had done that action too much.
Today I can resend. The confirmation e-mail arrived in the junk mail folder of the outlook.com account. At 04:17 this morning. The confirmation is now resolved.
I'd really have to delve into the e-mail headers of the received as (apparently) the time received was 04:17 this morning. That was a time long after the reported 'too many attempts' as reported by the community software. It is also a time that is before my last (seemingly successful) attempt to resend the confirmation.
I'd be appreciative if anyone knows how to view received e-mails to MS's webservices so that headers (or any remaining headers, because they can and do get re-written) can be seen.

I tried with my Microsoft email address again. No confirmation email arrived, so I've switched back to my gmail address.

As a silly exercise I tried an iCloud email address. The confirmation email didn't arrive.
So Gmail addresses work, but Outlook and iCloud ones don't.
The moral of this story: Avoid Outlook and iCloud. Probably best to avoid Gmail as well.

I was wrong about the confirmation email not arriving when I changed to an iCloud email address. I found it in the Junk folder.
