Fibre cable and ONT needs moving

I had Fibre cable and ONT box installed yesterday by an OpenReach engineer. However, I had it put in the wrong place and want it moving. I spoke to Plusnet and they said it wasn’t possible, but I could try calling OpenReach, which I did and they also said it wasn’t possible. What can I do to get it moved? I am prepared to pay to have it moved, if necessary. Thank you for your help with this matter.

If you were there for the installation, how did it get 'put in the wrong place'? Both PN and OR are correct - once an installation is completed, there have to be very compelling reasons for them to change it.

Re: Fibre cable and ONT needs moving

Just straightforward stupidity on my part. I was unsure where to put it and didn’t realise what it would look like once it was installed. Looks like I may have to live with it. Doh!

Re: Fibre cable and ONT needs moving

@Chris65, there are diy kits that can help in the moving, positioning of the ONT.

But, also, you can leave the ONT in place and put the router elsewhere, just purchase a longer ethernet cable
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

Re: Fibre cable and ONT needs moving

Thank you for your advice, but it is more of an issue about where the fibre cable is at the front of the house, i.e. next to front door. Black cable from under roof down to near ground, with white painted background. Needs moving to other side of front bay window.
