Hi all, hoping someone here can point me in the right direction 🙂
I'm a former Plusnet customer, and I've got an old personal website still sitting on webspace from decades ago. The address is of the form www.username.plus.com. It's still live and public, and I'd like that content deleted (like I'd assumed was already the case for the past 15+ years!)
I rang support last week and it took about 40 minutes just to establish that plus.com hosting was ever a thing. The agent and his supervisor were both stumped, and said they have no records because account details are deleted after five years. During the call I worked out that the site now appears to be hosted by Greenby rather than Plusnet, so I told them that, and they said repeatedly they'd escalate it to Greenby and email me a summary of the call, and that I'd hear back this week.
A week on I've had nothing. No email, no reference number, no way of knowing whether anything was actually raised or whether it went anywhere near Greenby.
The site is still up in the meantime. And since I'm not a customer any more, I have no account, no login and no FTP access, so I can't just delete the files myself. Which I'd happily do if I could.
A few questions for anyone who knows how this works:
Is there a team that deals with legacy webspace, and any way to reach them directly?
Is there any way to check whether a ticket was actually raised on that call, and whether anything was passed to Greenby?
Should I be going to Greenby myself instead, given they seem to be the ones hosting it now? I don't have an account with them either, so I'm not sure what the route in is.
Any pointers much appreciated!
Thanks!
Fixed! Go to the fix.

During the call I worked out that the site now appears to be hosted by Greenby
I dont believe that any accounts with webspace have been migrated to Greenby. The first tranche of such accounts is about to start from the 6th Sept.
I'll try escalating this thread to get attention from a staff member experienced with the Plusnet hosting
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

@MisterW I hate to disagree with the wise one but………… see attached.
This relates to a Plusnet account which was closed, and name changed on moving house over 10 years ago.
I was surprised to get an email (not a Plusnet address) telling me it and it’s associated email address had been migrated, I think it was from Greenby? Note the date, and the renewal date! It is active, I can FTP to and from it.
My current Plusnet email address (no web space) is marked for deletion as per an email asking if I wanted to keep it some months ago.
Curious goings on!

Can you PM me the username of the old account please.
Back in the day, it was often requested that an account wasn't cancelled, but was "downgraded" to a Mail only account so customers could access mail. I suspect that is the case here, but I'd like to double check it.

Good morning - thanks for looking!
I double checked this morning using dig and whois to check where the hostname points: the plus.com for my old address CNAMEs onto a greenbysites.com hostname, which resolves into an IP range registered to Enix Ltd. So it looks like some content has already migrated!

To close the loop on this, after much confusion from tech support I did manage to get logged into the old account, login to Greenby and get everything cleaned up. Thanks for the folks at Plusnet like Tony that patiently prodded folks along!
