Re: Does Hub Two work with Voip?

@Frances28 glad that everything has worked out for you and working as you want it.
It has been a good learning tools for some of us about the hardware we are using N300ip.
Just one more tip that I found. Type https://www.gigaset-config.com/ in you browser will list the hardware on your local network which you can then select. No looking in the hub for the ip address.
Was a member for years, but moved from PN fttc to fttp from an AltNet. Getting 940Mb up and down. Happy to stay on here and try to help others. 

It's finally working! Interestingly only once I had registered all three handsets. As soon as no. 3 was registered I got a dialling tone and can make and receive calls.

@Frances28

Using only Gigaset handsets here, I'm wondering if that dial tone is handset dependent - can you now hear dial tone on handsets #1 and #2, or is it only on #3?

I ask because I don't normally hear dial tone before dialling. The only time I recall hearing dial tone is if I use the 'Select Line' function to use, say the landline, instead of just allowing the dial plan to route a call over the appropriate VoIP 'line'.

Re: Does Hub Two work with Voip?

When I press the pick up/ make a call button on each phone I get the dialling tone. Not when I just lift them off the base.

I think I'd decided to get new phones because some of the buttons are a bit dodgy, but I'm not going through this all over again!

Next task is to record my own voicemail message, which I think I know how to do.

Re: Does Hub Two work with Voip?

I'm another one that abandoned my old, failing DECT handsets and am now on Gigaset ones which work differently so you only hear dial tone (briefly) once a number is entered/chosen and the call is initiated.

I can't honestly remember how my old handsets worked, some I think had auto-answer on so you just lifted them to answer an incoming call, but none IIRC would give you outgoing dial tone unless you pressed a relevant button.

Note that with A&A the BT-style 17070 number works and is free and tells you your number, no testing options.

For anyone looking for additional Gigaset handsets and living near Bracknell , bit of a bargain here https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-home-phone-accessories/gigaset-s850a-go-pair-of-cordless-phones/1474...
