Delay in transferring a domain from Plusnet

Over a week ago, I put in a request to transfer the domain portlethentennisclub.org.uk to another provider. I provided them with the new IPSTAG, as requested and was told that the transfer should be done within 5 working days.

It's now beyond that but, on phoning their technical support, they told me that transfers are handled by the IT department and they are not able to query or chase up requests - they just have to wait until the IT dep gets back to them with news.

I understand that they may be overwhelmed by requests to switch out domains before they are migrated to Greenby but it is disconcerting not to be able to verify that my request is definitely in the queue and not to know how long it's going to be before the transfer is done.

Is anyone able to give me any advice on how to proceed?

It looks like this was done on the 12th August .....

Thanks. Sigh! It seems that the IT department and customer support don;t communicate with one another. Very frustrating for us customers.

I think someone probably did a whois, but the Web version is frustratingly cached and appears days behind.
