I was in the local Asda today and noticed that the WiFi was provided by Plusnet. My question is whether this is official or not? My understanding was that the connection was provided by EE.
Main reason I'm asking is that of course there's nothing to stop a ... citizen (probably wearing a black hat) setting up an access point with the same name and sniffing the traffic as it goes past.

It may be due to that EE has been bought out by BT and BT have pushed some of EE's connections via Plusnet (who is also owned by BT).
Although I could be wrong.
