I've been experiencing issues all day 26th Feb with sending emails from my @plus.com address to recipients on non-plus.com domains. Emails between plus.com addresses (sending and receiving) work normally.
To test, I've successfully sent emails to the same external recipients from both a Gmail account and my personal work email account with no problems there.
Some emails I sent hours ago have only just now been delivered to the recipients, but newly attempted emails are disappearing again even though my email client marks them as sent, with no bounce/rejection notification returned.
This appears to be a sending/relay issue specific to Plusnet/plus.com outgoing mail to external domains. I've checked the service status page and see no reported outages.
Note: I have not yet been migrated to Greenby and am still on the original Plusnet email system.
Has anyone else seen this today, or is there a known intermittent problem with Plusnet's email relay?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@chipbarm Are the recipients on Microsoft group accounts? - if so, that is the problem, and has been for very many months.

If you mean @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com then no. None of the recipients are on those accounts. Some are on @gmail.com and others are on accounts like company names. Still having the issue today with emails not being received. Another example is sending emails to a college @winstanley.ac.uk which are not getting there.

In that case, the issue is elsewhere, but where I don't know.

@chipbarm I've just tested to one of my externally hosted domains and its working fine.
So it would seem specific to the domains you are sending to.

I've logged into the webmail portal and tried to send an email to one of the addresses not getting through. On the portal I get this error message:
SMTP Error (550): Failed to set sender
"myname@imap.plus.net"
(<rmyname@imap.plus.net> sender domain rejected
(blacklisted by local policy)).

That seems to be different to what you reported earlier, those are being bounced with a 550 blacklisted error.
There are numerous reports on the forum regarding that problem but I'm not sure there has been a definitive fix.

I only get that specific message using webmail portal. If I use iphone email or PC outlook email it just sends with no error message.

Is your sending address (identity) the same on your email client as the one in webmail ?

ID on webmail was wrong for one of the email addresses I was testing with but was correct for another.
Not sure why that would impact the iPhone and PC email as ID was correct on the client. But emails on iPhone and PC seem to be working normally now.
