Which is your email 'provider' - force9/freeonline or Plusnet? You will be notified when you are due to move, and when you have moved.

You haven't moved yet, and it could be a while before you do. Is this via webmail or a client?
What happens if you try to send?

Is this via webmail or a client?
Having checked webmail (which I don't use), I can confirm it is rather slow.

So, this is webmail? You do though, seem to be alone with this problem.

@rehtnap2023 If you are using the Plusnet webmail interface then the message on the webmail login page, which reads:
"Please be aware that Webmail may be slower than usual while migrations are in progress."
explains why it is slow.
If you are using a client, e.g. Outlook, then my experience is that checking mail can be a bit sluggish it's far from unusable and I have no problems with sent messages.

Thanks, @stuck .
And you are correct about using a client too. I have noticed MailWasher is a bit slow when retrieving messages/downloading them to Thunderbird, but not enough to be of any real concern.

It's worse than "slow" it's non-existent. I just had some emails download to my phone, but I only got the headers. No message. They aren't downloading to Outlook on my laptop at all, and even the webmail server won't log in!
No clue that anything was happening, no message to say that there may be disruption. Very poor comms!
