Wave of spam after Greenby migration

I have an email account in the format username@accountname.plus.com which was recently migrated to Greenby.
It's generally much clunkier that it used to be, but at least it (more or less) works.
However, I have noticed an enormous increase in the amount of spam I'm getting.
Before migration, spam emails were very, very rare. A week would often go by with none at all.
Now, following migration, my antivirus software is picking up an average of 10 every day.
Anybody else having the same problem?
Anyone know why this might be happening?

1) Yes, lots of people have this problem..
2) It's because the Greenby spam filters don't seem to work
Take a few minutes, no make that a few hours, to browse the many, many, other topics about this disaster.

I know this is overoptimistic but is there any suggesiotn at all that Greenby are working on this?
You would have thought (silly-billy me) that spam filtering wads a pretty basic requirement for an emakl provider.
Should Plusnet take some of the b lame for choosing a provider that can';t manage the basics - or is that unfair?

And, furthermore, I never had ingrowing toenail until I was transferred to Greenby! 😃
