Warning - Attempted scam

I received this email this morning saying I need to validate my account as yesterday there were a high number of attempted logins.  The notice is almost convincing except that at one point it says I can reply to the email and later on 'do not reply'.  I did click on it and what appeared was a 100% convincing Plunet Mail log in screen, but the URL says it is on a server at

avioservmo.com/wp-content/plugins/elementor/modules/element-cache/.........  The site is an avionics maintenance company.

Needless to say I did not actually login.  I assume this company's server has been taken over by a bot of some kind?

'Dear Valued Customer' is as far as I would read, even if I  downloaded the message - PN messages always address you by either username or full name.

@SkylineUK_Dup  Is it worth completing your warning by sending a message to postmaster@avioservmo.com ?

Re: Warning - Attempted scam

@SkylineUK_Dup

Hello there, thank you for reaching out to our Community Forum, I hope you are well.

We have been made aware of a scam whereby users are being sent a security notification message from a plusnetsupportonline@plusnet.co.uk email address, this is not a genuine Plusnet email as all our written interactions come under the form of a ticket and customers would receive an email from Plusnet Support donotreply@plus.net "A question has been opened on your account - Question No XXXX". Once logged into the account users would be redirected to the Member Centre and there can see the full email.

Please do not interact with the email as is not a genuine Plusnet contact, as always check the sender's email address and if in doubt contact our support team on 03301239123, if the email is not genuine is always good practice to report the email as spam and to cyber security, and block the contact, further information can also be found following this link:

https://www.plus.net/help/email-guides/spam-protection-guide/

I hope this helps

Nothing has changed - just some scammer has got hold of an email list from somewhere and is trying it on.
