Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

@Surfer the  "To protect your privacy remote resources have been blocked!." is because PN forums are now getting their emails sent through khoros-mail.com which adds a tracking pixel on a stupidly long URL (see image for an example)  which also pushes up the SpamAssassin scores :

0.5 KAM_EU RAW: Prevalent use of .eu in spam/malware
0.5 KAM_REALLYHUGEIMGSRC RAW: Spam with image tags with ridiculously huge http urls
3.0 LONG_INVISIBLE_TEXT Long block of hidden text - bayes poison?
2.5 LONGLN_LOW_CONTRAST Excessively long line + hidden text

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

In case anyone is thinking of moving from plusnet/greenby email to another provider, I've created a post with an 8 step process for smooth migration.

It is based on migration to Gmail, but should work for moving to any provider which can import emails via POP3.

Hope it helps:
8 steps to migrate smoothly from PN/Greenby email ...

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

All notifications from Plusnet still end up in the "Junk" folder on Greenby webmail and are not forwarded onto myself.  This is after making numerous emails from Plusnet as not junk!   There is no facility that allows you to make a domain safe!   I am losing my rag with this incompetent organisation.  😠

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Just received a batch of emails dated back to the 22 Jan all of which I received before, now I have duplicates.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

We have managed to migrate across to another email provider and no more issues for the past 2- 3 days.  I am now a happy bunny!

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I find that Greenby put a few of the forum notifications in my inbox and some in junk.

And right now, email is down both via client and webmail. And on the Greenby home page, no status link that I can see.

What made Plusnet / BT choose this company to give their email hosting to?

Either they were the cheapest, or they (Enix/Greenby) lied about their capabilities and the 'executives' who made the decision had no idea what they were being sold.

I notice you use the plural as at the moment it certainly looks like a one man band that got lost in the technology that seems to have overwhelmed them?

Due diligence does seem to be a problem in the corridors of power .....

Enix - AIUI - are a company who have successful webspace/email/w.h.y. operations, but, for reasons no-one can explain, decided to build a complete new platform for the PN transfer, rather than adopting/adapting a proven platform.

And no telephone number for Enix so no way to report email is down.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Just to add.
At 9am Greenby is down
At 11am Greenby is up
At 2pm Greenby is down.

This is a joke.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

interesting.  they also have incorporated/ merged/ taken over or whatever, EcoHosting and Host Presto, run courses via CodeStars, have 2 directors (who live in the area) and moved to the office unit in Whiteley in 2024

So, overstepped their capabilities?  when the system works it is ok, nothing special.  Lack of phone contact is not unknown these days - but an active live alternative is essential!  once again, as said before on here Mythic do respond, fairly speedily and in person (and not in gobbledy [-Censored-]!)
