Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

How can I keep an eye out for emails when I currently can't even access my webmail "free-online"?

It's been  inaccessible since 6am this morning?

When is the migration likely to be finished.

From my experience, that's about as good as it gets. Be grateful you can even log in.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Not that I am currently affected by this total fiasco, but having read all the posts/topics on the subject and become totally disillusioned, I have come to the conclusion that the only sensible action is to ditch PN mail and get my own. This is going to to be monumentally disruptive - thanks, Plusnet - but as Greenby are demonstrably incapable, then there is no alternative.

I understand that such an undertaking is not without potential gremlins, but when the FAQS provided contain so much inaccurate and potentially disastrous 'information', it calls into question how deep the cancer is.

I know they won't, but it is time Plusnet, or even BT Consumer Division, management stepped up to the plate and accepted that there are blindingly obvious failures (numerous) in the execution of this exercise.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Hello
Having just got an email from Greenby telling me about my Plusnet email account migrating to them I have a question which might seem a little bit silly to some. If I cancel my Plusnet email address (as I only use it for the monthly invoice from Plusnet and for nothing else) would I lose access to my Plusnet internet and user details to access the Plusnet website or not. I have other another email address that I use all of the time my Plusnet email address was inherited the day I started with Plusnet.
Many thanks for what to some may be a silly question but for us older people it's a concern.

@tregson16

would I lose access to my Plusnet internet and user details to access the Plusnet website or not.

No you wouldnt, you can login to the member centre using your account name and password.

I have other another email address that I use all of the time my Plusnet email address

Login to the member centre and change the contact email to your other email address, then notifications from Plusnet  will go to that email.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I updated the settings in Thunderbird to the more secure settings and it worked when I removed all my errors.

I had trouble logging into Greenby sites...

When logging into Greenby site (greenby.com) use a**b**  (i.e. just USERNAME)

When logging into Greenby webmail (webmail.greenby.com) (which is shown as “Roundcube Webmail”)  use c**@a**b**.plus.com or alternative@ a**b**.plus.com for accounts c**, alternative, etc, and the appropriate password.

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

I received an email to say my account had been completed on 12th December. Before this email the level of spam/scam emails went up by a factor of 10. Then all the emails to iphones/android devices under my account stopped working. Raised a ticket and then they started working,  but then Webmail and Outlook clients stopped working (timeouts). I sent the logs and errors in the ticket I raised. Support initially said I hadn't been migrated, so I had to speak to Plusnet ! Then they confirmed I had been migrated. After 24 hours I get an email stating no issue on Greenby's side, must be a local issue my side ! This is a disgraceful way to deal with customers who have more than basic understanding of email clients. Emails are key to me and my experiences with Greenby so far,  is making me accelerate away from Plusnet (have been a customer for over 15 years).

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

Greenby really are not inspiring any confidence in there email system, or there ability to reliably host emails, this morning I have just logged in to there web mail only to find all my Mail box's have gone, I really hope that's not the case and its a glitch with there webmail but I wont be happy if that is the case and I have lost important emails!

Re: Update on Plusnet email migration to Greenby

My Plusnet emails disappeared yesterday as I opened my mail app on my phone. Yes, as I looked at the screen. Two new emails just after this happened are visible. Nothing else. They don't appear on line via webmail either. Why? Help.

@James_B

Thanks James. I don't know if anything was done your end but everything appears to have come back as it was and seems to be working again although I did have to re input my pw in my iphone email to get it to receive emails again I don't know why as the phone wasn't telling me anything was wrong?
