Re: Transferring an email domain. Idiots guide needed. Registered, hosted where?

With org's (and com's) you tend to ask us for a transfer and we email you an auth code.

However, the other option is to let us transfer it to Greenby when the time comes and hopefully everything carries on as it always did.

Re: Transferring an email domain. Idiots guide needed. Registered, hosted where?

@mcgz the only difference between .org.uk and .org domains is in the procedure to transfer the registration.

With a .org.uk domain , you select Transfer domain In to the mythic account , then request that the current registrar change the IPSTAG to Mythic . Once the tag change completes , the transfer is complete.

For a .org domain you request a transfer authorisation (EPP) code from the existing registrar. They unlock the domain and give you the code. You then select Transfer domain in on the Mythic account and enter the code. The domain transfer proceeds and usually completes in a day or two.

The Mythic domain registration transfer guide here https://www.mythic-beasts.com/support/domains/transfer is still valid

Thanks Tony.

My understanding of the best procedure is as you have explained but that requests for the Auth code have not yet got a response from Network Solutions.

Thanks MisterW

You explanation of procedure is as I see it.

Getting the authcode seems to be the issue

@mcgz I though Plusnet used Enom to handle non-uk domain registrations ? I haven't heard Network solutions mentioned before ?
