Training Greenby Spam Filter

I was never sure if the spam filter training on plusnet was clever enough to see that dragging from spam filter to inbox in thunderbird meant "not spam"??

Anyway I've the Greenby spam filter on the least aggressive setting and I just checked using imap and there were "good" emails in there. I've went to webmail and marked "not junk". Questions:

1. Does this train the Greenby filter?

2. Any idea if doing similar in Thunderbird (webmail is a pain) would do same?

"1. Does this train the Greenby filter?"

I'm waiting to find this out. 😊

I may know by the end of the day as an email I receive on Friday's was consigned to Spam last week and I marked it as Not Spam, so will see what happens today. Although this will not be definitive as it is only one sample.

Re: Training Greenby Spam Filter

I found the Greenby spam filter untrainable. It does not remember "not junk" instructions and cannot read the white list properly.  I turned it off completely and receive only one or two spam messages -- same as before migration.

 @Kwak

Well, I've now received the Friday email and............ it's in the Inbox, not in Spam

It's only a single example - have to wait for next Friday - but seems OK to me.

Are some people being too impatient? I've no idea. 🤔

Re: Training Greenby Spam Filter

Well, another week has gone by - actually it hasn't - and I have received my Friday email (a little early - Easter) so that is now the second time this email has NOT been put into the Greenby Spam folder after it was the first time, two weeks ago. Whereupon I flagged it as Not Spam and it moved back to the Inbox.

Possibly not yet definitive however, to me, it strongly suggests that, despite what some may say, the Greenby online Spam filter can indeed be trained.
