As far as I know I am still with Plusnet's email. I have my own domain which I believe has held up migrations to Greenby. An email from Plusnet stated that the transfer to Greenby would start on the 06-09-2026. A few days prior to that a continuous stream of SPAM started.
Is this normal, what is going on? I have not seen anything from Greenby.
OT. If you want a laugh just incase Greenby did not fully replicate Plusnet's email setup I started to move to another provider, Outlook. because I already had it. That's a pain, it just randomly throws things into Junk.

Yes, receiving spam when you previously never had spam is 'normal' for this seriously flawed migration process. If you search the forum you'll find many, many, users complaining of an increase in spam once their migration from Plusnet to Greenby begins.
I have no inside knowledge but unless someone like @plusnettony unequivocally denies it, which he won't because as a Plusnet empolyee he wouldn't be allowed make such a statement, I am convinced this migration process is fundamentally flawed and is riddled with data leaks.
I am so glad I ditched Plusnet email several months ago.

Simple question for you: How does this stack up with those who have received no Spam whatsoever since being transferred to Greenby?

…there was quite some discussion back in 2022 where people noticed that reverse IP lookups (PTR records) on PlusNet ranges could reveal usernames unless you asked PN to change the PTR record to the IP range name. And usernames are easily harvested and turned into [email protected].
Perhaps that’s one mechanism to build a list of potentially spammable emails, and that something has changed recently in a mailserver’s spam filter. Just a thought.

It takes a few mins of admin to not have an email of the format : <username>@<username>.plus.com
Whilst you are at it turn off the other email dinosaur "Catch All"

My PN to Greenby migration hasn't happened yet, but it is imminent ("from 6 Sept") and now I'm getting spam on an address that has never, ever, received any spam.

We migrated 7 email a/c to Greenby in March with zero change in the levels of spam.
The emails that arrive via Greenby have very detailed mail headers
making spam detection and handling a breeze with Rules or Filters.
