Redirects to outlook.com disappear

It seems that my dozens of PlusNet redirects ([email protected]) to my Microsoft Outlook email account ([email protected]) have stopped working some time in the last few months. Messages sent to these just disappear without trace or record. That example uses fictional names, of course.

Are there any settings or adjustments which will restore these redirects for PlusNet messages to Outlook? Any option within PlusNet's portal or within outlook.com/live.com/whatever it's been rebranded as for this year?

I can replace redirects with aliases, but they are all redirects because my PlusNet mailboxes, used by several family members, used to fill up to warning levels. Redirects avoided using PlusNet's limited mailbox space.

For the avoidance of doubt - my email is still being operated by PlusNet, not by Greenby. I have the "We will begin transferring mailboxes from 06-09-2016" warning email. (Will my redirects magically restart once Greenby take them on? Or is that a silly question?)

Re: Redirects to outlook.com disappear

A very good question in fact.

The Plusnet old style method of forwarding is highly likely to result in the received email looking forged and being silently dropped without any rejection message.

The Greenby forwarding process has reached the modern age and should work correctly.

Re: Redirects to outlook.com disappear

Thanks, @PhilipHeyes. Better to know, than not to.

So in the short term, my redirects to outlook.com are unlikely to be fixable, but once Greenby adopt them, they may well spring back into life. The ones which are more urgently or obviously needed, I'll just have to delete and replace with aliases.
