Redirect

Hi, I’m looking at moving away from using plusnet email but I want to make sure that I don’t lose any emails which are sent to my old plusnet email address after I move. If I set up a redirect (not for the main account e.g. username+name) is this permanent? Or will my account close down? I’ve backed up my emails as I’m aware it will shut down the inbox. Thanks in advance

If you leave before the Email account is transferred to Greenby then as soon as you leave the Email account will be closed and any emails sent to that address will be undelivered, due to the address no longer existing.

Is the OP saying that he's leaving Plusnet or just no longer using Plusnet email  ?

Hence the redirection.

Good point, I may have misinterpreted the post. So if it’s just the email service is being moved then @joncoussens will need to redirect the emails after the Email account is ported to Greenby.

What would happen at the moment whilst porting to Greenby may be in progress is way beyond my understanding.

Hi, thanks for the replies. It is just the email as we no longer use plus net for broadband. I will wait till the account has been migrated to greenby.

My advice would be to start using a new email address as soon as possible and avoid any major disruptions that might occur during the switch over period.

Once the transfer is complete you will have 30 days with Greenby before you have to pay. Depending on when your Email account is transferred, this might give you long enough to decide whether to pay and continue with the account.
