I have been trying now for a month to get outlook to send my emails. It does seem that a blacklisting has been part of the issue and I requested Leanne last week to get me removed.
Having checked regularly each day since then, it seems that my main domain www.mydomain.co.uk/xxxxx.force9.co.uk is from yesterday afternoon no longer appearing on MXtoolbox's tool as being blacklisted by Spamhaus Zen thanks to the support team action. I have also done a clear out in my Force9 mailboxes and changed the password or deleted those mailboxes associated with sending spam.
I did have the 451 4.3.2 error message but taking the advice on this thread has overcome that. Nevertheless I am still getting the error 550 domain rejected/blacklisted etc now when I try to send emails from Outlook 365. Running the Mxtoolbox "domain health" tool suggest that there are no DMARC records attached to the domain. I don't know what that means, but could that be the cause of the problem please?
I remain unable to send plusnet domain emails from outlook. Also outlook never completes an update/change /repair action on the server settings every time I try. I think, presumably, because it can never send a test message/verify server settings and complete the change to be saved.
Advice please

Which domain (sending email address) reports no DMARC?
User.force9.co.uk has SPF / DKIM / DMARC the last two having relaxed alignment on force9.co.uk - which is fine.
Your hosted domain name is not going to have DKIM or DMARC if the name server is Plusnet’s. However your domain will not be considered to be a bulk sender so not really an issue.
If you can send using webmail, then the only issue you face is getting outlook configured correctly. If the application itself is not playing ball, try using the Mail applet in the control panel.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for your reply. Running the DMARC tool on MXtoolbox I get:-
No DMARC Record found for sub-domain.
Organization Domain of this sub-domain is: force9.co.uk Inbox Receivers will apply force9.co.uk DMARC record to mail sent from www.redacted.force9.co.uk
and also
No DMARC Record found for force9.co.uk
suggesting a problem at the force9 level.
Running the same query on my domain gets a similar reply:-
No DMARC Record found for sub-domain.
Organization Domain of this sub-domain is: redacted.co.uk Inbox Receivers will apply redacted.co.uk DMARC record to mail sent from www.redacted.co.uk
No DMARC Record found for redacted.co.uk
Whilst I have sending problems with outlook, I should remind you that I have similar problems with our two ipads, neither sending from applemail with our force9/my domain email mailboxes. One of the ipads also will not receive emails to that mailbox, the other will, although the two devices appear to be configured the same as far as I can tell. This suggests to me that the problem is not only me.
I can send/receive F9 domain emails via webmail, but no other email client. Outlook and applemail work fine with my gmail/icloud/me.com email addresses otherwise.
Thanks for any clarity/help here. I appreciate the time you give to these problems.
cheers
John

Can anyone better informed than I, please comment as to whether the apparent absence of DMARC records here is a real problem or a red herring?
cheers

Hi John,
Apologies, I saw this on my phone over the weekend and decided it too detailed to attempt a small screen response.
The 'missing' DKIM and DMARC on your SUBDOMAIN are of not material concern. These are defined at the root domain level and they have a 'relaxed' alignment. That means that DKIM and DMARC defined for @domain.com also applies to @sub.domain.com.
Thus @you.force9.co.uk is aligned to @force9.co.uk for DKIM and DMARC.
There could be additional confusion if you enquired of www.you.force9.co.uk - that is not an email address subdomain.
If your enquiry was for yourhosted-domain.co.uk then that might have SPF configured (by the fudge processes documented elsewhere), but will not have DKIM or DMARC. Given that your domain will not be deemed a bulk sender, their absence ought not to give rise to any material concern. For non-bulk users verification by EITHER SPF or DKIM is adequate.
If you are still experiencing 550 errors when sending as you@youraccount.forec9.co.uk then you need to follow the black listed by local policy advice...
Sender Domain Rejected (black listed by local policy)
This issue can report as server error 550. It typically arises where a user's email address has been abused for the purposes of sending spam emails. It has nothing to do with server settings etc.
This requires intervention by staff to determine the cause of the problem and to issue advice to check your system for viruses and malware. Only after your system(s) have been affirmed to be clean can the black listing be lifted. As a precaution, you should change the password on the affected email address.
Add your details to this thread - Cannot Send Emails and send a PM to @Leanne_T

Thanks Kevin.
However I am still getting the 550 error "rejected by ..." when trying to send although my domain no longer seems to be on a blacklist. I reported this to the support team/Leanne last Friday, so hopefully they can unearth and sort what is happening.
cheers
