Plusnet emails refusing to send.

Hi

this morning all of my three email addresses ending  @Accountname.plus.com are no longer sending out. I get this error message on my email client: 

"[SMTP]Cannot send message ('From' field address '<redacted>@<redacted>.plus.com' not accepted due to the following reason:
"<name@arccountname.plus.com> sender rejected (blacklisted by local policy)
")

 

Why is this happening?

Me too - same message.  Does not matter if I send from iPad or iMac.  Everything well up to date by way of updates and whenever this has happened before it is always Plusnet that is the cause.

Plusnet helpline is currently telling me there is a 20-minute wait time, so I kinda guess we are not the only ones affected ?

If any Plusnet staff person reads this, can you maybe respond, please ?

I am also experiencing the FROM reject. I am relaying my own domain via PN alog with an appropriate dns spf.

But I see it also seems to be affecting users sending using their PN FROM address. Are you all sending whilst connected to PN?

I posted to this thread earlier, with some anonymized error msg, but my message was unsuccessful/unapproved.

Hopefully this one makes it through.

Looks like the SMTP server has thrown a hissy-fit. I get the same error - sending from my xxx.@myaccount.plus.com address.

 

Here's hoping not all PN's techs aren't on holiday at the same time.

I can't send from my static IP either...

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

i have no visibility of awareness.  I am looking for a point of engagement but it’s the BH weekend!

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I have been getting the exact same message for 2 hours now, that call wait times are 20 minutes, so I now have a strong feeling of being ignored/everyone off on their long weekend. Escalation will be a good idea, provided (I guess) your escalatee [?] is at their desk.

@aprapr Now one of the SU's has awareness of this issue, they will do their best. But as has been stated, it is the Bank Holiday weekend, so staff will be a little thinner on the ground.

Have exactly the same problem. Not great when you are told you are 'blacklisted'. Same problem on all my three accounts.

Well that is unfortunate - I hoped that sending via webmail might mitigate the issue - it does not!
