Plusnet email closure - but when?

When I spoke to Plusnet support today I was told that their email system will be closing and that I should look for another email service such as gmail.  Does anyone know when this closure will happen?

Re: Plusnet email closure - but when?

When there is a plan to do something, then there will be a formal announcement. In the meantime any comment is (at best) pure speculation by first line support, possibly confused with the confirmed closure of the JLP email service and the end of legacy email on closed Plusnet accounts.

Re: Plusnet email closure - but when?

Oh dear, yet more disinformation from the support desk. But it’s not the only topic of disinformation on closing services. Loose tongues are saying the same on business and mobile. There are no published dates for the end of any services. Email has most certainly not had any termination notices similar to those for business and mobile services.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I was under the impression that 'suitable advice' had been issued to first-line support on this matter - obviously they need reminding , again!

@NickBS - can you please revisit this issue please? It would seem that people have forgotten Sean’s reminders on these matters. See the long SU thread.
