Plusnet Emails being transferred to a new Supplier

I was just talking to Plusnet support about a Freenetname email address whilst I was on the phone they said that in the next few months, Plusnet will be transferring their email services to an external company and we would no longer be able to contact Plusnet for email help. He said emails will be going out to everyone either next week or the week after explaining exactly what was going on!
I am assuming this will affect all Plusnet email users and not just the old Freenetname accounts, does anyone have any further information on this?

@cwaite I certainly don't, but if it is true, then it will affect all email 'brands' in the Plusnet stable.
As a point of interest, it is difficult to get help from PN first-line staff for email anyway - as the service is no longer offered to new customers, they have no training for it.

@jab1 I must admit the person who answered the call was reluctant to help at first, but ended up being a great help and we sorted out the issue in a few minutes.
