Re: Outlook cannot connect to PlusNet email server

I have just looked up Greenby on Trustpilot. Lost for words; many plusnet customers are very disappointed. Accounts being lost, slow speeds, no customer service etc, etc.

Re: Outlook cannot connect to PlusNet email server

Both are the same, the email address, as are the other plusnet email accounts in Outlook.

Re: Outlook cannot connect to PlusNet email server

Here is the update on uninstalling and reinstalling the problematic plusnet email account.

Reinstalling via Outlook resulted in the same server/password issues as before. Reinstalling via control panel, I added in my original plusnet account log in details in the advanced settings. That seemed to connect with the server but the sending test message triggered this error message "Send test email message:   The server responded: 550 <xxxx@xxxxx.plus.com"

The mail folders for that account are still showing in outlook.

Re: Outlook cannot connect to PlusNet email server

The 550 error message you get suggests a different issue to that of others on the thread. Also, you've not migrated. Please check to see if sending is normal (and no error) in webmail.

Re: Outlook cannot connect to PlusNet email server

LEAVE IT ALONE and use webmail till greenby get around to fixing their botches. Its not a real issue as such, its greenby messing things up. Mine took 2 days to recover itself a few months back.

It brings into persepctive we will every likely LOSE plusnet mail as a usable entity given the clowns now running it. So maybe its time to find another free/paid service and perhaps change your contact details thus. It was fantastic while it lasted...sadly a sign of the times I guess. This applies whether you have migrated or not Im sure its risky.

I'm not sure if you're responding to anyone specific, but there are a mixture of people posting on this thread who have and haven't migrated.
