Have now found test messages in Webmail - (and others addressed to domain.co.uk) but can't see any way to change settings so that they are forwarded to gmail as was until recently happening....

That support item sets out that Gmail will no longer allow fetching emails from, e.g. a Plusnet mailbox, using POP.
Instead you will will need to "redirect", ( Greenby call it "forwarding").
This is where our issues come together - redirects to Gmail seems presently BROKEN.

They would have only been previously forwarded to gmail if a redirect was defined for that mailbox name. A redirect for a mailbox is mutually excuslive to the mail being received in the account. 

If mail to that address is showing in webmail , then there is no redirect for that address.

Since your account hasnt migrated, then you should still be able to check your email configuration on the PLusnet member centre.  Login and select 'Manage account' , then the 'Manage your Plusnet mailboxes' link The 'summary' tab show show a list of Mailboxes,Aliases & Redirects

I fear in the modern age where SPF compliance is expected, simple redirection functions are going to become quite unusable.

The problem is every redirected email looks to be forged & may just be discarded as the very worst type of a spam.
