Multiple problems with email

Since Plusnet shoved email off onto Green-something, I've had multiple problems:-
1. Lots of obviously legitimate emails are put into Junk, e.g. emails from individuals with respectable addresses, organizations including universities ─ all sorts. I keep marking them 'not spam', but it makes no difference.
2. I cannot send emails to hotmail addresses ─ they all bounce, even though in nearly every case I've received emails from that address and in the past have sent emails there.
3. Some emails disappear entirely; one important correspondent's emails now never arrive, though I know they've been sent (I now have to get them sent to a different address and then forwarded from there).
4. And why, when the service had become so unreliable, did the price suddenly rocket upwards?
I thought I'd be able to ring a technical adviser about these problems ─ I thought Plusnet was supposed to provide good support ─ but it seems that's no longer the case. So if anyone can help, I'll be grateful.

1) In the www.greenby.com portal Settings the Spam Filter can be disabled. ( we have done this )
2) Historically rejection by Microsoft free-mail was a Plusnet problem of SMTP relay.plus.net
Share the detail of why the emails are being rejected i.e. which email servers are blocked by Microsoft.
3) I do not see this on my email a/c, check the spam folder on the server via https://webmail.greenby.com/
4) Depending on the Plusnet a/c type either the first 1 month or 24 months are free.

@Clearbrook1954 Has your email account actually moved to Greenby - it sounds like it, but confirmation would be useful?
1) The junking of legitimate messages is a recurring theme amongst many users - the only effective way I have found to stop this, on both Plusnet and Greenby, is to totally turn off/disable the spam filters.
2) The Hotmail (and other Microsoft mail platforms) issue is down to Microsoft, not PN/Greenby, and a constantly moving target - mitigations are put in place, and then M$ move the goalposts.
3) This, I suspect, is tied in with 1) above, but don't quote me on that - I could be wrong.
As an aside, I have moved away from PN/Greenby as email suppliers, but understand doing so is a daunting task, unless you understand what you are doing, and it does take time an patience.

After my Plusnet email account was transferred to Greenby I found the default Greenby spam filter setting was not the same as on my Plusnet account (which was 'OFF'). It was set to 'More Aggressive' (Level 3?) and I eventually turned it down to be less aggressive. I also marked legitimate emails put into Junk as 'Not Spam', which moved them back to Inbox. This may be needed more than once. Generally I don't seem to need to do this any more.
2. I cannot send emails to hotmail addresses ─ they all bounce, even though in nearly every case I've received emails from that address and in the past have sent emails there.
These problems are ongoing, seemingly related to the increase of spam and security problems on the Internet plus other issues. Would need more details (without personal information) to give any other opinion. There are now several threads on the Forum detailing these issues.
3. Some emails disappear entirely; one important correspondent's emails now never arrive, though I know they've been sent (I now have to get them sent to a different address and then forwarded from there).
Would need more information (without personal details) but sounds like they may be ending up in recipients Spam folder. Could ask them to look there? (Unsure whether you mean incoming or outgoing emails)
4. And why, when the service had become so unreliable, did the price suddenly rocket upwards?
It hasn't! The arrangement with Greenby is that it will be free for Plusnet users for the first two years, after that it will be charged at £12.50 pa. Originally an email account was included with a Plusnet account - that hasn't been true for new users for several years and Plusnet are now withdrawing from running any email service themselves.
