Moving a domain name email to MS365

Hi. As a Plusnet customer I have two email addresses, one using Plusnet settings, that I've managed, with some difficulty, to move to 365. The other uses a domain name purchased from Namesco for incoming but Plusnet for outgoing as I haven't (yet) purchased an authenticated SMTP. This one has proved a nightmare despite 'help' from MS and despite working perfectly happily on Office 2010 for many years. I also note that it doesn't appear on Webmail despite the outgoing settings being Plusnet's. Should it? And does anyone have any bright ideas about moving to 365?

Thanks

Heather11

@Heather11

It wont appear on webmail unless its hosted by PlusNet. Using the plusnet smtp server for sending mail from a domain hosted elsewhere is not a good idea UNLESS youve set an SPF record to include the plusnet servers in the authorised list.

@Heather11

As far as the spf record goes @MisterW helped me to set up my Namesco email account see here. https://community.plus.net/t5/Email/Static-IP-SPF-fail/m-p/1877365#M40018
As fas as MS365 I tried it and went back to Office 2019 out of sheer frustration. The good bit about 365 was that Microsoft immediately refunded the licence fee.
