Move fo Greenby

I've just received an email re the move to Greenby.  I am really disappointed that Plusnet have done this.  I don't particularly want to change my email address as I've had it for 15 years or so.    My first concern is that I have never logged onto Plusnet for email; I have Windows Livemail on my laptop.  So will I be able to configure Livemail so I continue to receive emails this way?

Re: Move fo Greenby

@WorldMachine The move to the Greenby platform will have no effect on how your email is delivered. Your existing account will continue to operate.

Thanks; that is of some reassurance; will I need to alter any settings on Livemail?

Thank you, I do hope that PN will be here to help with any initial setting up issues; you guys really have been awesome since I joined PN 14 years ago.

Re: Move fo Greenby

There are no 'setting up' issues, as the only thing, AFAIK, that you will need to do is create a Greenby account, full details of which will be supplied on transfer.

We'll be about, but as @jab1 says, everything will just transfer and things will continue to work.

What gave rise to the (mis)understanding that your email address was changing?  The coms discuss migration to a new service and the need to login elsewhere to manage the account, but nothing which infers a change of address.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Move fo Greenby

@WorldMachine

Although not ideal, PN moving their mail service to Greenby is preferable to them closing it. After 2 years it's only £15 (for now) which is accceptable to me.

The good news is once you are migrated you are no longer tied to PN as your ISP. You can leave without losing your email address if you see a better offer elsewhere.
