Migration Timetable?

Is there anyway I can find out where I sit on the email migration timetable and if there's anything I can do to acccelerate it? I've got a force9 account and have heard nothing, but my mother's plusnet a/c has received a migration notification.

Re: Migration Timetable?

You will be advised at the time when your cohort is ready to enter the the programme.

If you are a Force9 user and have not yet been notified then either you have a hosted domain name or you have legacy web / cgi services.  These will put you at the back end of the programme.

Simple configuration Plusnet users have entered the communication stage of the programme, but not yet an active migration window.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Migration Timetable?

Strange. I know of 3 Force9 accounts. Only one has received a migration date ("from 8th December" whatever that means) ... but it is the only one which has an active web site. None have domain names.

Re: Migration Timetable?

My force9 email account and website have already been migrated to Greenby.

The "you're going to be migrated" emails were received on June 2nd and 9th and both said migration would "begin" June 30th.

I received the "Welcome to Greenby" email on Monday (Nov 24th), although when I first logged into Greenby.com, the welcome message there said that the migration happened on Nov 20th (last Thursday).

My 2 year free period ends 25/11/27.

"Simple configuration Plusnet users have entered the communication stage ... "

What distinguishes a simple configuration from a non-simple (complex?) one?

Re: Migration Timetable?

Gosh! I had not realised it could be 6 months after the "begin date"

The anticipation !!

Re: Migration Timetable?

Thanks. I guess I'm on the complex list. Now if they'd only communicate I'd have told them that the legacy web space consists purely of redirects to my current hosting, and I'd already planned to transfer my one domain to another provider.
Curiously the web space now resolves as www.[redacted].f9.greenbysites.com so some kind of migration seems to have happened.

Re: Migration Timetable?

I am a PlusNet user with a couple of pages on my website.
I've had the Email saying "from 24th November" but don't expect anything to happen anytime soon.
I've also seen the change to name resolution.

DOS>nslookup www.[redacted].plus.com 8.8.8.8
Server:  dns.google
Address:  8.8.8.8

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    www.[redacted].plus.greenbysites.com
Address:  212.159.8.91
Aliases:  www.[redacted].plus.com

Could the websites running through a proxy type of setup similar to the Email system?

@MoonMan

Yes, website access will be / is via a proxy, which will know which sites have migrated and direct connections appropriately.
