Metronet migration to Greenby: spam filtering.

I use Thunderbird with pop3. This evening I realised that multiple genuine emails have been filtered to spam since 3rd September. I received my "Welcome to Greenby" email saying that migration had been successfully completed on 2nd. As far as I am aware I never had any spam filters on my Plusnet (Metronet) email, and since I rarely receive spam, I don't want any. I have raised a ticket with Greenby as I don't want to have to keep logging in to webmail and marking messages as spam/not spam. Has anyone else had similar problems?

Is there not access to spam filter settings in the Greenby control panel?

Re: Metronet migration to Greenby: spam filtering.

I can't access them, I get an  "Access Denied" pop-up. The Greenby chatbot tells me: " Since your address is metronet.co.uk and you can log in to Greenby, it sounds like your Metronet account is in the migration phase that’s still being completed through the end of September. During this period, some settings areas may not yet be writable on the new platform, which would explain the “Access Denied” when trying to change spam settings.", and that "If your migration is already fully completed (you’d have received a Greenby “Welcome/Completed” email)" and "If you haven’t had the completion email yet: Changes like disabling spam filtering must still go through Plusnet until your migration finishes. In that case, please contact Plusnet support to request spam filtering be disabled on your mailbox. Once your Greenby migration completes, we can manage that for you here." It says a lot more I won't bother with here.

I can follow this up with Greenby, but I just wondered if anyone else has this problem, and warn people that their emails may be disappearing because of new, unrequested, spam filters.

I  would have expected that the settings would be available as soon as your account has been migrated, That response implies that you need to wait until all metro net accounts are migrated ( or maybe the chat or is just wrong!)

Since the chat keeps contradicting itself I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is wrong. I'm waiting for a reply from a human. The bot has said that it will disable all spam filtering and resolve the "Access Denied" problem.

Re: Metronet migration to Greenby: spam filtering.

I've had the "access denied" message from various points on the Greenby portal since I was migrated about a fortnight ago,  and multiple claims,  by both bot and human,  that it's been fixed.  It hasn't.
The over-zealous spam filtering is something of an irritation,  there's no apparent means of adjusting this which gets past the access-denied message.
The Greenby portal is a bit of a disaster area TBH,  on a number of fronts.

@pwberry Thanks for the warning(s). Hopefully by the time I get transferred, they will have ironed out most of the wrinkles.
