MSN.com rejection workaround

Since late last year my email messages to msn.com contacts are being rejected although I receive their messages on classic Outlook. I found a simple workaround. I asked them to email me on my Plusnet account with a copy to my Gmail account. I then reply to them on Gmail.
The problem of sending email to icloud.com and a few other portals has been going on for far too long. Are Plusnet and Greenby devoting enough resources and manpower to fixing the problem? It may dent their budget temporarily but boost their reputation and client base in the long term.

Re: MSN.com rejection workaround

I was hopeful a new email platform might impose much stricter security standards than has been the case with Plusnet.
I refer to disabling ports 25 & 110 and mandating credentials and encryption for POP3/IMAP/SMTP.

Sadly I see that SMTP port 25 remains available via Greenby.

Does that mean that SMTP Open Relay is also still available via a Greenby SMTP server
when used from a Plusnet internet connection ?

If it does it may not be long before Greenby joins Plusnet with its SMTP server IPs blocked as persistent spam senders.

Why can't Plusnet and Greenby impose the security standards of email providers like Mythic Beasts?

Re: MSN.com rejection workaround

Those settings have either not fixed or created the current server problems.

Re: MSN.com rejection workaround

As the current problems are not settings related, I wouldn't expect them to.
