Re: Legacy email migration

@jab1  Looks like snaz wasn't logged into the forum, the contact me section is not present if not logged in, I thought it was the strange negative screen but I was wrong.

Re: Legacy email migration

Cheers, @RealAleMadrid .That would explain it, although it would never occur to me, as I never log out - on the laptop, at least.

Re: Legacy email migration

Can you access either at webmail.plus.net?

Portal should be unaffected, and component active on both PN and legacy accounts (remember the legacy portal is www.madasafish.com not portalplus.net.

Re: Legacy email migration

This is where the legacy migration is at 2nd day after migration:

SENDING TO GREENBY WEBMAIL
1. I CAN now send emails to freenetname from an outside email source and it will arrive in the Greenby freenetname webmail.
2. BUT if i send emails from an outside email source to the full personalised email domain freenetname should accomodate, then NOTHING ARRIVES at my Greenby webmail and also NO 'unable to deliver notice' is recieved. So where is it ?

GREENBY AND THUNDERBIRD
1. Today, day 2 of migration,  i got some 96 back-emails dumped into my Thunderbird desktop client up until the last perosnalised email recieved 11.am morning of migration 2 days ago.
2. Normally all my full personalised email post, associated with freenetname should work together and seamlessley come into my thunderbird client and also my webmail. This isn't happening.

  • I CAN log into Plusnet plus.com webmail but today it listed no emails in my inbox at all. They seem to be only in Greenby at the moment.
  • I CAN log into my Plusent freenetname webmail but i note it has also stopped recieving emails from my personalised email address as from the last recieved at 11am on the morning of migration. Yesterday i couldn't log into it at all.
  • I understand that at Greenby my legacy freenetname email exists in a seperate log-in than my plus.com email domain and can access both.
  • I note that since migrating my legacy 2 days ago, the Greenby staff have stopped replying to any ticket post about problems associated with it. Usually they're keen and assuring with response times in several hours.

Any suggestions what to do ? Are my personalised emails being sent to me but ending up in limbo somehwere safe and will they eventually arrive  ?

Any encouragement welcome !  Cheers sp

Re: Legacy email migration

UPDATE

Some improvement - getting there - but 2 final issues:

  1. Missing approx 75 hrs of emails to personalised domain address  - 11.11am Wed 20-10-26, the day migrtion to 14.22pm Friday 23-10-26 , time a Greenby ticket was addressed.
  2. After entering all the thunderbirds settings as directed by Greenby, my Thunderbird desktop recieves but wont send emails : - getting a server 'unknow sender' message after it asks me to enter password. See screen grabs. I've tried deleting saved passwords and letting it re-write that but doesn't fix it.

the key settings i was told to input were:

Incoming POP Server Settings (Account Settings → Server Settings😞
Server Name:
mail.plus.net
User Name: [email protected]
Connection security: SSL/TLS (change from None)
Port: 995 (this will update automatically when you select SSL/TLS)
Authentication method: Normal password

Outgoing SMTP Server Settings (Account Settings → Outgoing Server (SMTP)😞
Server Name:
relay.plus.net
Connection security: SSL/TLS (with Port 465)
Authentication method: Normal password
User Name: [email protected]

Any advice here ??  Appreciated.
