Is Greenby down again? 26th Feb

Can't access emails this morning.  All was working fine yesterday and I've made no changes.  Message I am receiving is is:

Unable to send or receive messages for your account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Server: 'mail.plus.net'

Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Protocol: POP3

Port: 110

Secure(SSL): No

Don't know if it is if it's Greenby or PN - my non-migrated account is getting the same message.

I can't connect either. Got the same message.

The plusnet servers appear to be down as well.

(Tried mail client and webmail on laptop, and client on mobile.)

Any of you who are still PN customers reported this to them yet?

I have just used ssllabs.com to test mail.plus.net, mail.force9.net and relay.force9.net and it replied for all of them...

Assessment failed: No secure protocols supported

So all secure access is well and truly borked!

Am I glad most of my mail doesn't go through PN/Greenby any more.

Since moving to Greenby I am having weekly problems.  It's very concerning, I was waiting for some important documents this morning.

It's started happening for me too. Another problem to tick off the Email Fiasco Bingo card.

Looks like I moved email handling for my domain over to Mythic Beasts just in time, although my plus.com address is still my main one at the moment.

Down here with Greenby.  Thunderbird giving server.... reset every time contacted (POP3).

No access to webmail via roundcube - site can't be reached.

Can't login to greenby on the web.

Logged into greenby.com just now. Chose emails, my Plusnet domain shows with ZERO MAILBOXES!

I have raised a ticket. Strangely, no immediate reply from Chatbot, just 'awaiting reply'

Can only sit and wait.............................

All mail technically goes via Greenby whether actually migrated or not. Their proxy servers effectively redirect to PN servers for non-migrated A/Cs as opposed to connecting to local greenby server(s)

i.e. mail.plus.net/imap.plus.com is now Greenby equipment and not PN equipment.

Therefore if something in Greenby Towers goes titsup then so does any redirect to PN servers

it is for me too, whats worse is that I logged into Greenby and it says I have no mailboxes.

not getting any response from thier support ....but thats normal

I've found that I can still SEND emails from my mail client - received ok at a gmail address, but obviously not to the plus address I cc:ed as 'zero mailboxes'
