Thanks for your posts.
It looks like I wasn't missing anything obvious.

If it's not possible at the moment, is it something that's likely to be implemented in the future?

Perhaps Bob Pullen could comment on whether the plans for the upgrade of webmail include consideration of IMAP server side rules.

Re: IMAP rules

Not sure Jelv but it's certainly something I'll ask once the engineering gets underway. It's something I'd like to see. One of the mail providers I use allows sieve scripts to be created via a web interface which I use to set up server side rules (I think their webmail offerings allow you to do this too). It's an absolute joy setting your account up on a new device/in a new client and seeing all of your filtering rules work immediately without you having to do anything! Smiley

Re: IMAP rules

Thanks for your comments.
Server-side rules would be nice. When do you expect webmail to be replaced?
Would you mind letting us know which other mail provider you use that does offer server-side rules?

Re: IMAP rules

I'm hoping Webmail will be revisited during the first or second financial quarters of this year.
The email provider I was referring to is Tuffmail, and whilst the service isn't free, it comes with a strong personal recommendation. They offer Roundcube, SquirrelMail and IMP webmail solutions as well as secure POP3/IMAP and SMTP services.

Re: IMAP rules

With the new webmail being available, I thought it would be a good time to ask about IMAP server-side rules again. Will PlusNet be adding them to the new webmail?

Re: IMAP rules

I don't think we can that easily. Our IMAP implementation is built on 'Courier' and if my memory serves me correctly it doesn't support server-side 'sieve' filtering very well (if at all).
