My email was with Freenetname then Madasafish, then Plusnet. I would like to move my email account elsewhere.
Recently, my email has stopped working, trying to obtain help is near impossible! I suspect, the company have been unable to take payment as my bank card was compromised and cancelled recently. However, no one has tried to contact me for new payment details.
Please can you assist me with obtaining whatever information I need?

@Thebickleys Is your email in the form of 'something@someaccountname.plus.com', or one of the legacy brands?
When you say it has stopped working, is this totally, or just sending or receiving?
I assume you pay by card, rather than Direct Debit?

As far as I'm aware PN only take payment by Direct Debit. If so it's your bank account that matters - if this hasn't changed then there should be no problem.
If you have a PN email address then it can't be moved - you lose it if you leave PN. Older address are a bit of a grey area as to what happens if you leave PN. I suspect, like PN address, you can't "move" them.
However, I'm no expert in the subject.

@bmc Unless they have changed practice, and it is possible, you could pay your bills by card in the past.
You are correct in saying you can't 'move' any email address, be it a Plusnet one, or one of the legacy brands - they are unique to the brand.

I appear to stand corrected. Just logged into my Members page and I can change to a credit card.
Login to you Members page and check your payment details under Bill & Payments.

Thanks for the advice. However, what I want is for Plusnet to release my domain name. Is this possible? So I can take it to a different email provider.

Yes, you just need to wait for a staff member to pick up this thread. They'll then either PM or raise a ticket to get the domain details
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
