I've got an email today from Greenby (never heard of them) saying, "We’re excited to welcome you to Greenby, the new home for your Plusnet email! The migration of your email has been successfully completed, and all of your existing messages, contacts, and settings are safely in place. With Greenby, you can continue to use your Plusnet email address with the same login details."
That's fine, but then further down it says, "Your Greenby email service is free for 2 years. After that, an annual fee of £15 (including VAT) applies to continue using the service."
Umm, what? After two years i'll be expected to pay an extra £15 a year for an email service i've had free as part of my account for over a decade with Plusnet?
It's ridiculous. So essentially in under two years time i'll have to find a new email provider who isn't going to charge me £15 a year (or switch ISP - hint hint), then update all of my accounts and inform all of my contacts of the new email address.
Whose bright idea was this?

You’ll not find any ISP offering bundled email these days.
The only parties offering free email are the ones who want to data mine the content. It’s no coincidence that the biggest free email providers are internet search engines.
£15pa is a very competitive price.
Which email brand are you? A migration notice will have been sent to the account holder weeks ago.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

@steevo007 I think you may have a slight problem finding an email provider who won't charge you for the service, and equally an ISP who provide an email service to new customers.

As soon as your e-mail account is migrated you are free from using PN as your ISP. In one respect we are lucky PN decided to migrate the e-mail rather than shutter it completely.
As the old saying goes - there is no such thing as a free lunch.

@steevo007 All of what's been said about free email providers is true enough but if you're hell bent on a free service have a look here: https://proton.me/mail. I’m sure there are others.
Personally I could never understand why anyone would want an email address tied to an ISP, similarly now that PSTN is going why have a VOIP ‘landline’ tied to an ISP. In both cases moving ISP is much easier with separate providers. i.e. ISP, VOIP and email.
I got an email from Plusnet telling about the move to Greenby with the option to NOT move my Plusnet email and just cancel it, which I did.
I'd all but forgotten I had a Plusnet email address so I logged in and removed the endless notices about my monthly payments etc. As of now the webmail can still be logged into, so I guess @plus.net accounts have not been migrated.
